Storage & Handling
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored at -20°C in a sealed container away from light and moisture. When stored correctly, most peptides have a shelf life of 24 months or more in lyophilized form. After reconstitution with bacteriostatic water, peptides should be refrigerated at 2–8°C and used within 1–2 weeks. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Most peptides reconstitute well in bacteriostatic water or sterile water for injection. Some hydrophobic peptides may require a small amount of acetic acid (0.1–1%) or DMSO to fully dissolve before diluting to the desired research concentration. Always consult the relevant literature for your specific compound.
In lyophilized form, most peptides can tolerate short periods at room temperature without significant degradation (e.g., during shipping). However, for long-term storage, -20°C is always recommended. GHK-Cu is an exception and can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Always refer to the individual product storage guidelines.
